Do you love to plan? Or maybe you love to schedule. If you don’t, then you’re about to learn how planning creates your roadmap to success.
You can talk about how to get to your goals for only so long. Then you should probably start writing down the steps it takes you to get there (if you didn’t get the hint it would be helpful at some point). Next thing you know you’ve got dates to meet and a schedule is in place.
Your Lack of Planning is Not My Problem
For many years, when I went into work I would walk by a colleague’s cubicle. On the wall of their cube was a sign:
“Your lack of planning is not my problem.”
I would nod at the sign in agreement. You get me sign. Someone else’s inability to get their shit together is not my problem. Don’t you think?
Then I would get to my desk and start to resolve all the problems that were created because someone else couldn’t get it together! How did I not see the irony in my day? It hit me like a done of bricks. I’d been complaining about how other people just needed to think ahead (and of course, like me) and all would be right with the world. Then I walked by that sign.
“Your lack of planning is not my problem.”
YOU LIED TO ME SIGN!
See, everyone’s lack of planning is your problem. But you have the chance to change all of that. You can get a tarot reading that will provide you with your next steps so you can reach your goal tomorrow.
Overwhelm & Accountability
Don’t get overwhelmed right away. You haven’t even seen the steps you need to accomplish your goal yet! Once you see those action items, then you can feel a bit nervous. But here’s the insider trick to calming those nerves. Put a reasonable (stretch) date on the planned actions. Then you’ve got something to shoot for with a bit of pressure to actually get it done.
You know what really helps people get things done? Accountability. When you have to provide your results to someone else on a set date and time you feel the weight of that deadline. Someone else is counting on your to deliver.
In the end though, what happens if you don’t deliver on time? Will babies die? (Are you a doctor that specialized in working with babies?) Probably not. Perfect. Then you’ve set up an artificial accountability to deliver on time because you’re accountable to someone else. Best of all, you used that fear of disappointing someone else as a motivator, purposefully.
So if you’re the type of person that needs someone else to remind you to get things done, you’ve got two options. First, you could set yourself up to be accountable to someone you trust. Second, you could ask me to hold you accountable after a tarot reading. My approach is simple. I ask you what you’ve accomplished, what might be in your way if you’re not, and what you’re working on next.
Planning for Family & Life
Sometimes family gets in the way of accomplishing your goals. Obligations to parents, kids schedules, and miscommunication with your partner can way lay the best of plans. I struggle every Saturday to meet the goals I’ve set for myself because I have a husband who doesn’t seem to remember my pattern of working. And I give in to our needs (grocery shopping, taking care of the mother-in-law, eating) on his schedule and make mine more flexible. So I’m partly to blame. I guess what I’m saying is, I get it. But when I had someone else to hold me accountable for what I was producing, I damn well produced. So I get that too.
And, in general, life gets in the way of our best laid plans, doesn’t it? We get sick or someone dies. We get a call from work or a pet needs immediate attention. It happens. Those moments, the events that make up our lives, they can fit into our plan as long as we have planned. Because if you’ve planned for life, then you’ve provided yourself with allowable time to meet your promises.
How do you plan for life? Buffer time. Just add in buffer time to the schedule you plan. It’s like leaving a space on the bookshelf because you know your Amazon order is about to arrive.
Discover Your Next Steps
So why don’t you just do a business plan and not get a Tarot reading? Do both. Plan your business. A business plan is full of so much more than just a schedule. But you should also plan your achievements. Plan all the things you want to accomplish.
Not sure what they are? Awesome. Get a Tarot reading. It could give you steps to prep for in the next 60 days. Or a milestone achievement in the next 12 months. A reading could even confirm what you’ve already completed and suggest next steps on or off the same path.
Some people have this view that Tarot is just for relationships and teenagers wondering if Johnny loves them. Well, they’re right. That question gets answered every minute by a Tarot reader somewhere in the world. But it can be so much more.
Let’s say you have a business partner who is helping you to achieve your goal of getting the business off the ground. A Tarot reading can not only help you plan the next steps to reach those goals, but it can also help you better understand the relationship between you two. Especially if you’re struggling to work together.
Plan to Succeed
The biggest challenge in front of you is that you won’t plan for your success at all. If you don’t plan, it’s pretty rare that you’ll actually succeed. I mean, half of planning is setting intention. And without intention, how are all of the pieces going to come together? You’re just envisioning a dream without purpose at that point.
When you do get a plan in place, please celebrate your milestones. They’re huge achievements. A lot of work goes into reaching a milestone. They should be treated as a success story!
“Plans are a guide to keep you nimble and on track.”
One more thing you should keep top of mind. Be prepared to adjust your plan based on new information. Plans are never set in stone. Plans are a guide to keep you nimble and on track.
Tarot Operationalizes Your Intention
When you plan with Tarot you’re receiving objective advice from a reader. They, more than likely, only know what you’ve told them. From there, their gifts and talents take over to produce the roadmap you need to be successful in reaching your goal.
When you work with me you receive actionable advice that shows you how to implement change. Ultimately, when you’re working toward a goal, you want your life to be different than it is today. So implementing change is paramount if you want to actually reach your goal! As you put the action steps into play you’re effectively implementing change in your life and setting the intention to achieve your goal.
It’s All Happening
Can you see yourself working for your passion instead of someone else’s gain? If all it takes is a roadmap to get you there then it’s time to focus on your interests, skills, and aspirations so you can confirm your passion. Check that box and then start thinking about how you can plan out achieving your goal. Start that dream business. Connect your skills and your interests with your aspirations and live your passion!
The next thing you know you’re running your wholistic health center and people are seeking you out for the services you and your staff (!!) provide. Yoga classes are on the daily. The Shaman sign reads, “The Shaman is in.” Crystal sales are through the roof. You’ve got a silversmith on the line as your next vendor and a spiritual retreat is planned for your back room. It’s all happening!
Plan It With Tarot
Seriously. Can you imagine running your own business? All because you sat down with a Tarot reader to plan your next steps to achieving your big dream? To have that ultimate focus on succeeding in reaching your goal with clear action items. That’s pretty amazing.
Accelerate your progress by receiving clarity on what your current and next steps should be. A Tarot reading can help you move faster by confirming and solidifying what you should be focused on today and in the near future.
If you have greater focus on your goal with clarity of the action items it takes to achieve it your halfway home. I’ll bet you can almost taste that sole proprietorship.
